I know you've heard the truth that God has set you free
But you think you're the one that grace could never reach
So you just keep asking, what everybody's asking ... (MIke's Chair)

As I shared my faith story with a friend, she said, "You don't understand ... you don't know what I've done! God could never forgive me!"

I assured my friend that God's Word promises, "We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are" (Romans 3:22-23 NLT)

But I'm not sure my friend ever found the forgiveness that God offers us. A few years later, she died as the result of her addictions. 

As we approach this Thanksgiving season, you may be feeling down and wondering if God hears your prayers. God's Word promises that you can be set free from your past mistakes and failures. 

I pray, "... you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32).
