Voice Recognition—Tip One: Communicate with God

Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.  (Philippians 4:6)

I’ve discovered a few tips for recognizing God’s Voice, when I’m confused about whether I’m hearing the voice of conviction or condemnation.

First, I must remember to communicate with God. Sometimes I get so focused on the worrisome distractions around me, that I forget the power of prayer and praise.

I’ve also learned I can’t focus on many tasks at the same time. And if I try to multi-task, I don’t anything well.  So, I must find some way to silence all the voices around me, so I can hear God.
