Guest Post: We Are His Perfection (by Leah Schultz)

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. (Psalms 139:13-14 NLT)

If God

knit us together

in our mother's womb,

then we are exactly

what He intended

for us to be.

When He looks at us,

I expect He smiles

as He remembers

creating each

distinct individual feature

that makes us who we are.

What we look like,

the sound of our laugh,

our personality,

every characteristic,

was of His design

and for His purpose.

We are His creation,

and He loves us!

That should make us realize

how special we are in His eyes,

and also how special those around us

are to Him.

What right

do we have

to be

unaccepting

of ourselves

or others?

On the opposite end of the spectrum,

we also have no right

to brag on ourselves,

as if we had anything

to do with who we are,

or the talents we've been given.
