Making Decisions in a Crisis

"Time and time again Your truth is drowned out by the storm I'm in ..." (Casting Crowns).

In the middle of a crisis, I often struggle with my decision-making abilities. I can't trust my emotions or my logic. So as I listened to the song "East to West" by Casting Crowns again, these words resonated in my mind: "Time and time again Your truth is drowned out by the storm I'm in."

As I thought about why God's truth is often drowned out by the storms of life, the answer to my question rang out loud and clear as I continued to listen to this song. "I can't live by what I feel, but by the truth Your word reveals."

I hope the words of this song will encourage you, too!

"Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you" (John 8:32 MSG).
