Focus: Come to Jesus

"Weak and wounded sinner
Lost and left to die
O, raise your head for Love is passing by ...
Come to Jesus and live ...

"And with your final heartbeat
Kiss the world goodbye
Then go in peace, and laugh on Glory's side and ...
Fly to Jesus and live" (Chris Rice, "Come to Jesus").

I guess I'm in a melancholy mood as I prepare to go back to my hometown this week for the funeral of a my Aunt Etta, my mother's sister. So, this song came to mind. We chose it for my mother's funeral several years ago. I hope it touches your heart, too.

Do you have a special song that brings memories of melancholy moments?

This is a great song. Love the "dance with Jesus" part, too. Sorry for the melancholy mood. Hope it moves on to joy soon. Praying for traveling safety and peace in the midst of this storm.

Thanks for the prayers, Bibbie! But I'm not really down in this "melancholy mood," just in deep thought about life issues--you know, family, friends, life, death, faith, etc. Honestly, I think it's spiritually healthy to go there sometimes. And funerals and other life crises usually take me there.

Glad you enjoyed the song! I particularly like the "fly to Jesus" part!
