Sandy's Crockpot Dressing
My friend, Sandy, shared this crockpot dressing recipe with me. And I'm looking forward to trying it out this Christmas with our smoked turkey. Thanks, Sandy, for sharing your recipe with me!
5-6 quart crockpot
Spray crock with Pam
Turn crockpot on low
2 pans cornbread (day old is best)
6 slices bread
1 cup chopped celery
4 boiled eggs
3 raw egs
2 cans chicken broth
2 cans cream/mushroom soup
1 can cream/celery soup
salt, pepper, sage (to taste)
*2 cans chicken (add later)
Mix all ingredients, except chicken, place in crockpot.
Cook 5 hours on low.
Stir every 2 hours (if no crust is wanted).
*Add chicken after 3 hours.
Too thick? Add canned milk.

My family loved this crockpot dressing recipe--even the picky eaters! I only made a couple of changes to the recipe. Instead of canned chicken and broth, I cooked my own chicken and used that broth. Plus, I added extra broth instead of canned milk to keep the broth from drying out too much.
Thanks again, Sandy, for your recipe. It was delicious!
