Moist Banana Bread

I found this banana bread recipe on a YouTube video provided by Jason Hill of Chef Tips. I especially like it because it was so moist And I think the chef was right—it's all about the sour cream. I enjoyed watching this professional chef cook, since I need some help with my culinary skills these days. Here's a great banana bread recipe!

Moist Banana Bread

Sift together
*2 cups flour
*1 tsp baking soda
*1/2 tsp baking powder

Cream together on low  (in separate bowl)
*1 stick butter
*1 1/2 cup sugar
*1/2 tsp salt

Combine and add to creamed mixture
*2 eggs
*1 tsp vanilla
*4 Tb sour cream

Add sifted mixture to creamed mixture

Mash together and add
*4 large or 6 small ripe bananas

Pour mixture into sprayed bundt pan

Cook in preheated 350* oven for 1 hour (til toothpick clean)

Baking just hasn't been a priority for me in the past few years. I guess my obsession with food took me down a path where I had to get my focus off of baked goods. But I believe I'm finally discovering a balance in my feasting and fasting.

Anyway, the bananas in the fruit bowl were getting riper faster than I could consume them. So, I surprised my husband, Dan, when I told him that I had baked some banana bread. And we both enjoyed our rare dessert last night after our dinner. Why does a special treat like banana bread seem to make a simple meal seem like a time of celebration? This rare baking experience made me excited to plan for my Thanksgiving dinner.

It's time for Thanksgiving!!!!

Thanks for the recipe, Karen, I'm going to try it this weekend. We have some ripe bananas that are begging to be turned into bread.

I hope you and Jim enjoy the bread as much as Dan and I did. I may even make some more--as soon as my bananas ripen a little more. Hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving celebration!
