Today, I posted a Jordan family story, "Scooters, Bikes, and Wagons," about my grandson and his friends on our BLESSED Journal.

Writing prompt. I hope our family story will help bring some memories back to you from your childhood. Or maybe you'll remember some stories about your children—even your grandchildren.

Whatever memories this story prompts, I hope you'll take a minute to write down your thoughts or tell your story to someone else. Telling our stories can help us in the writing process because we often remember more details as we tell our stories out loud and as our listener asks questions.

Family pictures. Have you ever discovered an old family picture and wished that you knew the story behind it—especially who the people are within the shot? You may even find a picture that reminds you of a story. Then, when you write your story, you can include the picture when you preserve your story—in a scrapbook, on your computer, on the web.... So, don't miss your opportunity to document your pictures and your family stories.
